Gambel's Quail and Antelope

New Year's Day we were invited to the home of our friends Bill and Mary who live on an airpark near the Mexican border.
Gambel's Quail live in the southwest states
and
Mary feeds approximately 150 of them each evening.
This is only a small portion of them.

The photos aren't as resolute as I would like but, holding still isn't in their vocabulary.

A male (with the black face) and female who also were having nothing of being still.

The year is starting off well as the next day Vic spotted a herd of antelope not too far off the road.
While I got out and set up the tripod and long lens for closer shots, Vic had his fun "shooting" me.

Again, blurry shots.
Rarely did more than one remain motionless at a time.
But antelope photos at this range are not the norm,
for me.
