A few small flowers began blooming 10 days or more ago then, this past week, the higher temperatures caused many more desert plants to leaf out then begin to pop with color. Of course, breezes are constant and it's been difficult to get a clear photo of anything. Here are a few of my near, or not so near, successes along with a bit of wildlife thrown in.
Ocotillo
Stemless Primrose
A blanket of filaree
Gopher Snake
Cottonwoods and willows leafed out
Neat looking bug
A pollinator
Sycamore Canyon dressed in spring green
Again, we were in antelope habitat but, this time.......
....we actually saw antelope. Too bad they weren't nearer.
Great blue herons in their rookery.
