We've been home about six weeks with nothing really wonderful to share. We've been busier than the proverbial bees. With traveling out west nearly six months each year, it seems each year we get a bit farther behind here on the homefront. We haven't strayed far from home and picture taking has taken a backseat to shoulder therapy twice a week with a physical therapist. Ugh - I'd be far happier behind the camera.
The good news is that a grandson was here for four days and we had a great time enjoying his company. What a blessing to have a kid who is all muscle and energy and loves us!
Anyhow just this past week a couple of things presented themselves to me and I couldn't resist. With all the rain, our rhododendron have been phenomenal. Too bad a thunderstorm with small hail came through and shortened the bloom time.
We have lived here nearly 31 years. One spring when we hadn't been here very long, Vic took Monica to get two rhodies for me for Mothers Day. Directions said they don't do well planted near foundations. So, I planted one here at the house foundation and one away from the house. Funny thing, this is the one that has grown the largest. I guess it didn't read the book.
Then, just a couple of days ago this young robin just begged to have its photo taken.
Sweet or what?
